Dixie Classic Fair

Yesterday we went to the fair with Mama and Daddy! We checked out the exhibits and animals, walked through the rides and tested some good ol fair food!!!

Food Fight

Rewind to Oct 1st - Happy Birthday Debbie!

We enjoyed fabulous food and entertainment at the first ever "Food Fight" at the Piedmont Club. Chef Charles from the Piedmont Club and Chef Jeff from the Triad Community Kitchen went at it in a cooking competition.

We went for a test drive yesterday in GSO with the Caddy....'88 Fleedwood d'Elegance. This is him grinning ear to ear driving his dream car.

Townhome BBQ

Our annual townhome get together had some unexpected weather...Our "BBQ on the Green" quickly changed to "BBQ in the Garage" due to rain. We popped up tents and set up for the party in Janie's garage. Most folks were still able to come and we all had a great time!

New look

Our bathroom has a new look...BRIGHT!!! Here is the picture that inspired it and you can see the walls behind it. Put on your shades-


The painting was given to us as a wedding gift by Steve Felton, Mylinda and Glenn's neighbor at the beach. The wall has a little more orange in it than what is shown in the picture and goes with everything we picked out to go in there. Hard to match and pick out for an orange bathroom but we did it!!! And love it!!!

Happy Birthday Nancy and Jenny!!! We enjoyed dinner with Nancy, Jenny, William and Debbie at the Depot in Dobson. Fabulous food and a beautiful place to be!

Debbie and William came down to the lake today - we roasted hot dogs over the fire and went out for the afternoon on the pontoon. Great day to be out on the lake and we all got a little sun!!!

Friday, June 11 - game day...again. Seems like everyone fell in our game - seriously half of our team (excluding me) fell during the game. And we lost... The next team came in and needed one more girl to play, otherwise they wouldn't be able to play. Stupid me volunteered, they played me on 2nd base. LOTS of action, I did pretty good other than one miss. Went for a hard hit ground ball, got too low for my old self and ate a little dirt - dashed forward and majorly skinned my knees and REALLY strained some muscles I didn't know I have in my legs. Steps and sitting down/getting up are tasks now because of my muscles. And in the picture, that is not a bad spray tan, that is dirt, pure dirt. I am sure Kevin never thought he would marry such a rough little girl :)

My favorite little girl is turning 2 but we don't get to go to the party because I work! She came by tonight to get her present. She is very into baby dolls so I got her a Madame Alexander baby doll that she can play with! Her eyes blink and she has on the softest outfit! I think Cara liked her too!

Birthday Beach Trip

For Kev's birthday we went for a weekend at the beach - and took Princess. Mylinda and Glenn had us down and welcomed Princess to her first ever beach trip!!! She behaved well other than biting one neighbor and we think she really liked Topsail Island!!!

Happy Anniversary...

...to us!!! Monday was two years! We had the day off together and had dinner at Ryan's, yum! Kevin had arranged for a fireside table and ordered flowers for our table! How sweet!

Two weekends in a row of birthday celebrations! Tonight we celebrated William's birthday - which was actually over a month late! We dined at the Piedmont Club then back home for cake...


Last weekend we celebrated Mom's birthday! We had dinner at El Maguey where they donned her with the huge sombrero and the biggest crowd sang her the loudest, longest birthday song ever! Sopapillas there then more cake at home...
