Summer do's.....

The pup aka Princey and myself have decided to sport new do's this summer! Princey has gone with a short trim and a short beard! I have decided to grow a beard to see if I like it......

Saturday was Cara's First Birthday Party! Yay! She was a little shy about digging into the cake - Amanda made sugar flowers to go on top of her cake and she gracefully pulled them off before gettin' to the good stuff. How CUTE!!!

PTO - Part 1

Well, it is the week of May 11th - May 15th and we're on PTO this week. We've decided not to travel any but take some day trips. Today, we went to Hanging Rock Park and below are some of our pics. We stopped in Walnut Cove at Bojangles for some chicken. We ate lunch at the park and then decided to walk some of the trails.

My Birthday Weekend!!!

Monday, I will be 32! Today, we're going to the Transportation Museum in Spencer. It’s an opportunity to explore exhibits of antique locomotives, rail cars, automobiles and more. We also get to take a train ride around the N.C. Transportation Museum's historic 57-acre site, and learn about how transportation progress helped build North Carolina.

Afterwards, we’re going to High Rock Lake to have dinner with Kel’s family. I think the menu includes hot dogs and hamburgers with fudge brownies for dessert!!!

Tomorrow, we’ll spend most of the day in Reidsville with my family. We’re going to Baptist Temple for church and then to see my Grandma before heading to my parents to grill out.

Kel and I plan to chill out Monday!! Maybe go out for breakfast, hit up the YMCA and then just hang out.

As the weekend progresses, I’m sure I’ll have some pics to post; so keep checking!

Honeymoon revisited.....

Well, it will soon have been one year since our honeymoon to Palm Island in the Grenadines!!! How time flies!!!

Kevin will be 32 in just two weeks (4.13)!!!!

We're Aunt and Uncle!!! Owen's Here!!!

Our first nephew, Owen Thomas Carroll, was born this morning at 4:46. Congrats Brent and Mary! He is cute as a button, weighing in at 7 pounds, 5 ounces and he is 21 inches long....complete with a full head of hair!

Good-bye 2008.....Hello 2009!!!

It’s been a busy Holiday Season but it’s now coming to a close as fast as it arrived. Kel and I had a wonderful Christmas spending time with family, friends, and Princey. We had friends over for lasagna and dessert one weekend. We had Secret Santa with Kel’s family, dinner at the Depot in Dobson and some home-made banana pudding here at our house the next weekend.

Christmas day was a busy one too!! We had breakfast with Kel’s family and then came home to pack the car for Reidsville. The Carroll’s had lunch at my aunt and uncle’s; then Kel and I headed by the nursing home to visit Gran. Finally, we made our way to my parent’s for a short visit.

Today, we spent the afternoon “un” decorating. We still have two trees left to go but it’s getting there.
